So today started off with some nice weather, but we did hit one big snag this morning. Our gps unit died, and that is a big part of the trip being that we want to take all back roads and trails whenever possible and that would mean constantly looking at the map.
So we picked up a new one and were on our way. saw some neat things along the way, we stopped at a park that was dedicated to pere marquete.

This was a really nice park, we really enjoyed it. plus the spring water for drinking was pretty cool. (no we didn't drink from it)

We found a cool little stream that had some fish in it, and Sam LOVES fish

Sam ran around on the beach for about an hour, which is nice because it is the first time she walked on it. Aside from her sand box. I have lots of good picks of that, but the wife didn't bring the cord to her camera (why does sony insist on using the stupid memory stick).

I took this with the iphone and used a cool app to play with it a litte as well as the next one.

this was a flower stuck into the sand. It was kinda of random, but i saw a cool photo in the making.

We went to a really nice ice cream shop the house of flavors, We got lemons for our waters. Of course little Sami had to try one. Now that is entertainment.

HAHAHA! that was great.
We did cook lunch/dinner on the fire. kid was keeping the wife really busy so no pics of that stuff. maybe tomorrow.

We are both feeling really worn out. So off to bed early and wake to head north to petoskey. hopefully when we get accross the bridge we will come accross some good travelling trails. I like the backroads but trails are nicer.
