A very long night. A wonderfull day.

So the cabin seemed great yesterday, until last night. I got this really creepy vibe when it became time to turn off the lights. (no i'm not affraid of the dark.)I do have a tendency to be paranoid about things, so i over compensate generally. However this time Amy had the same erie feeling (this made me feel better, i'm not totally crazy). The door had a really poor lock on it but a pretty stout pad lock connection. I didn't have a pad lock.so i decided to use 3 spoons. I figured that would by some time for my to figure out what was going on if something by chance did occur.

So of course the night went smoothly, exept for Sam. She woke up constantly all through the night. I swear she must have woken up every half hour or so. It was a long night. In the morning we had some hat fun with Sam, and 2 wonderful friends were there to greet me.

Ok, were on the road. We continued to head north, We got tired of the back roads and found some seasonal roads that headed north. We had no idea where they went but, Hey thats what the gps is for.
I tried teaching Sam how some rocks are stronger than others, I showed her that granite can break shale (i honestly think she just liked watching me break things).

We popped out of the woods just south of mancellona. We decided Sam could use a little break, so we stopped at a Mcdonalds for a happy meal and 2 iced coffee's (we were pretty tired from the lack of sleep).

We hopped onto old US 131, which is a 2 lane road through a quite hilly countryside. There were alot of beautiful views. However they pop up sporatically out of nowhere, so we didn't get alot on film. Amy did get some on her camera. We will upload those when we get home, hence the missing camera cable.
We did come accross a little 2 track that headed in the general direction we were going, It ended into nothing. so back onto old US 131 and off to petoskey.
We made it to petoskey national park and wanted to check out a natural spring, which we never found. But my god they have giant mosquitos! The damn things are the size of hummingbirds.

Thanks to my folks for the present they left in the camera bag! we found that just in time. so we decided not to stay in petoskey now. Off to mackinaw city to spend the night and in the morning off to the island.

Well alright i had fun drinking a couple Oberons and writing this but off to bed.
